The first Taco Bell® in the UK was launched in the Lakeside Shopping Centre (Thurrock) in June of 2010 and the second opened in Eastgate Shopping Centre (Basildon) November 2010. As well as offering a number of vegetarian options, including the Bean Burrito, 7-layer Burrito and Fajita Quesadilla Meal, customers can order lighter options by asking for their meals to be prepared ‘Fresco Style’. This means that sauce and cheese are substituted with fiesta salsa, a freshly prepared blend of tomatoes, diced white onions, and cilantro. Fresco products are the Grilled Chicken Deluxe Taco, Grilled Steak Deluxe Taco, Grilled Chicken Fiesta Burrito and Grilled Steak Fiesta Burrito.
